Michael S. DuVall
Interpreter/Captionist for the Deaf
Michael is a sign language interpreter with extensive experience working in postsecondary education. Prior to working as an educational interpreter, she interpreted in psychological, legal and medical settings. Michael has been trained as a C-PrintT captionist and currently works as a captionist and sign language interpreter for Virginia Tech. In addition, Michael is a freelance writer who has written and edited an online magazine, a manual, grant proposals, business plans, a newsletter and several articles. In spring 2007, she entered a short story in the Virginia Tech Literary award contest and won first place.
