Susan Angle

Director

Dr. Susan Angle is Director of the Services for Students with Disabilities office housed under the Health and Wellness Area in the Division of Student Affairs. In this capacity, she provides oversight for the delivery of services, academic support, counseling and programming for students who have documented disabilities.

Dr. Angle holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education from Virginia Tech with a concentration in Student Personnel Services. She previously served as the Assistant Dean of Students at Virginia Tech. Before coming to Virginia Tech, Dr. Angle worked in the community college setting as a counselor, advisor to the Student Government Association and coordinated student activities in the Student Affairs office. She has also worked in the Residence Life area at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and worked as a psychologist in the mental health field. Her professional memberships include the National Board of Certified Counselors, the Association on Higher Education and Disability at the national and state affiliate levels and Chi Sigma Iota (counseling academic and professional honor society).
