Testing Accommodations Rules & Procedures

Important Testing Rules

  • It is your professor's responsibility to secure appropriate space for your testing needs. All testing arrangements must be made through your professor in advance of each test/quiz.
  • If your professor cannot provide space, a Testing Reservation Form must be completed, by you and the professor, and submitted at least 3 business days before the test date.
  • SSD will not administer tests on a walk-in basis.
  • Final exam testing space, if needed, should be scheduled at least one week in advance of your exam date in order to secure testing space.

Step by Step Procedures

1. You, the student, complete ALL information on the top portion of the Testing Reservation Form (before taking it to your professor).

2. Schedule an appointment with your professor and take the Testing Reservation Form ("student" part should be complete) to your meeting. The professor MUST complete ALL information and sign the "professor" portion of the Testing Reservation Form.

3. Once you and the professor have completed the Testing Reservation Form, the form MUST be delivered to the SSD office by the STUDENT. This form must reach SSD at least 3 business days before the date of the test!

No Signed Reservation Form = No testing at SSD office

It is a privilege to use this facility, not a right. Failure to comply with these procedures, or violations of the honor code, can result in the student losing the privilege of taking any or all exams at the testing center.

Hints:

  • Most professors give out syllabi and final exams are scheduled by the university, so you should know most testing dates at the beginning of each semester. There is no penalty for signing up early
